USCIS is updating its policy on the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA) age calculation, effective August 15, 2025. The new guidance clarifies that a visa becomes available for CSPA purposes based on the Final Action Dates chart in the Visa Bulletin.
For adjustment of status applications pending before this date, USCIS will apply the February 14, 2023, policy, as applicants may have relied on it when they filed. This change aligns USCIS and Department of State policies.
